 The International Summer School (ISS) program at the University of Seoul (UOS) was first established in 2000, and it
has provided international students with a great opportunity to learn about Korean culture and tradition. Since reorganized in 2005, the ISS has received an increased amount of fund from the Seoul Metropolitan Government and now offers various incentives to the participants coming from sister universities of the UOS and many prestigious universities over the world. |

: UOS students share a dorm room with you, helping you learn about Korea. This provides a valuable chance to
make solid friendship. |
· Mingling with Friends from All over the World!
: In 2009, you can build a global network by meeting many friends from Canada, Czech, China, Finland, France,
Germany, Japan, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, UK, USA, and more. |
· Chance to Explore China or Japan!
: A 4-day field trip to Beijing in China or Tokyo in Japan will give you a better understanding on the East Asia. |
· Various Field Trips and Extracurricular Activities
: To learn about Korea’s past, present and future, you can experience various kinds of activities while visiting
famous spots in Korea such as DMZ, Han River, ICheon (Porcelain & Pottery), Changdeok Palace, Boryeong Mud Festival, Korea Folk Village, and more. Chances to learn Samulnori (Korean traditional musical performance), Taekwondo (Korean martial arts), and Korean modern dance through the programs organized by UOS Student Clubs will give you unforgettable memories as well. |
