Why University of Seoul? “Study at the heart of Seoul”

Established in 1918, the University of Seoul is widely regarded as one of the top public universities in Korea.
The university has been a think tank for the Seoul Metropolitan Government, contributing to the development of Korean society through education, training of students, and academic research. With 8 colleges and 9 graduate schools, the University of Seoul offers a variety of courses in a thriving academic atmosphere.

About Seoul International Summer School

The Seoul International Summer School (SISS) program at the University of Seoul (UOS) has been providing international students with a unique opportunity to learn about Korean culture and tradition since its establishment in 2000. SISS has been reorganized in 2005, receiving increasing funding from the Seoul Metropolitan Government and offering various incentives to participants from UOS partner universities and other prestigious universities worldwide.
Join us this summer to experience Korean culture and education at the heart of Seoul.

Transcript / Credit Transfer

Upon successful completion of the program, official transcripts will be issued and distributed by late August. The University of Seoul utilizes a credit system that is equivalent to that of the United States.

Culture Activities

One-day Field Trips

Explore the vibrant city of Seoul with us! Immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of South Korea while experiencing the best of what the city has to offer. Our theme is “Seoul”, after all, because who knows it better than us? We are the University of Seoul! You will have chance to visit iconic landmarks such as the historic Gyeongbok Palace or admire the breathtaking beauty of the Han River. Get your adrenaline pumping with thrilling rides at an amusement park, or delve into the world of K-pop with a dance class. You can even learn to cook delicious K-Food! Our package includes 3 field trips to ensure you make the most of your stay. You'll also receive a 24-hour Seoul Travel ticket, allowing you to explore the city with ease. And, to make your trip truly unforgettable, we've included one very special activity!

Peer Advocate Program

Welcome to SISS! We offer a buddy program called "Peer Advocate" for international students. Our Peer Advocates, who are Korean students, help international students adjust to life in Korea. They can even show you around Seoul and help you explore all the city has to offer! Join us today and make the most of your study abroad experience in Korea!
